To start the testing process at DPS, you will need to obtain a Medical Card. It is simple physical exam. Don’t know of a Doctor?? Let us know we can guide you to one.

Return to DPS and start testing. DPS will provide you with a permit to drive and allow you to take all exams necessary($25.00)

After Completing the necessary exams, please ensure DPS registers you on their scheduling website (http://txdpsscheduler.com/). Stop by our office, so we can help you find a test date and set up your appointment.

A $300 deposit is required to secure your spot and receive additional study materials for your Pre-Trip Inspection.

We offer in-house skills testing, so there is no need to schedule or test at the DPS office.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Training is conducted over one week, beginning on Monday and continuing through Friday.
  • We provide in-house skills testing, so there is no need to schedule or complete your test at the DPS office.
  • You must have your valid Driver’s License, Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), and Medical Card with you at all times.
  • Students are required to study the Pre-Trip Inspection Guide to improve their chances of passing.
  • (This guide is provided upon registration with RGV CDL Services.)
